HOPE RISING CHRISTIAN ACADEMY LOGO
I had the privilege of designing a logo for Hope Rising. Hope Rising is a christian ministry in Leogane, Haiti, that is fulfilling their calling of taking care of the orphans there and reaching out to the Haitians in order for them to hear the gospel and know the Lord. One part of their ministry is the Hope Rising Christian Academy. Hope Rising held a competition for a logo to be designed for both their christian academy and school uniforms. My design won and is currently being used by the Hope Rising Christian Academy.
I wanted my design to be more than just a cool looking logo. My desire is for the logo to glorify the Father and have the ability to be used to further His kingdom. I gave this logo more of a shield look that may go well on school uniforms. The "HR" in the middle is for "Hope Rising". The "H" and "R" are combined by an arrow pointing up. This arrow is for two reasons: the "rising" part of "Hope Rising" and to glorify God. The arrow is in the very center of the logo to show that God is the very reason for the christian academy's existence. The academy was started BY God and FOR God. There are also two more arrows pointing up on the outside ring. That's three arrows total: for the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The logo, ultimately, is for honoring God in totality of who He is.
